Want to go olive oil tasting and eat fresh food? There’s a spot for that. Want to pick your own veggies and pet farm animals? There’s a spot for that. Wanna go to a barrel race? You guessed it, there’s a spot for that, too. With a trend towards farm-fresh and country life, it’s no wonder Queen Creek has become so popular.

The tri-fecta of the suburbs, Chandler, Mesa, and Gilbert offer just about everything one would need to get a little bit of western history, a little bit of entertainment, and a whole lot of good eats.

Scottsdale is known as the playground for the wealthy, which may very well be true given it’s car culture, it’s shopping scene, and the abundance of luxury resorts and restaurants. But, Scottsdale is also teeming with culture, art, and loads of outdoor activities that make you fall in love with this city every time you visit.

What was once a thriving mining town has become a well-preserved historic stop on the way to Tucson. With turn-of-the-century architecture, mom-and-pop shops, and some great coffee shops, it’s worth stopping for an hour!

Goldfield Mine is as touristy as it gets but also more fun than you expect it to get. It’s a must-do for an afternoon!

Tucson is a “city” of immense history, including centuries of native American occupation, wars, wild west tales (which inspired hundreds of western movies to be made there), and even some gangster activity. There’s so much to see and do that you need a long weekend (and a lot of energy) to get it all in.

Nestled between Jerome and Sedona is our favorite little town, Cottonwood. While it doesn’t look like much, it’s filled with mining history, wine tasting rooms, and incredible restaurants. It’s a nice way to spend a day or even for an overnight trip. Check out all of our favs and steal this itinerary!

Sedona is what made me move here. There’s something magical, almost supernatural about it, drawing you in every chance it gets. It’s forever my spiritual place.

Eating dinner in a former insane asylum, followed by touring a theater with a gruesome past, makes Jerome feel like Halloween every day.
